8-Day Budget Trip to Cairo and Oasis

On the fifth day of your 8-day budget trip to Cairo and the Oasis, you'll enjoy a breakfast cooked by locals and the popular morning tea with mint before heading to the Oasis of Farafra. In Farafra, you can relax and enjoy the hot sulphur spring of Bir Setta, then visit the old town of Al Qasr. From there, you will drive to the Oasis of El Dakhla, which will take about three hours.

Upon arrival, we will visit the Temple of Deir El Hagar, situated in the middle of the desert and half-buried by the sand dunes. After lunch, visit the ancient Islamic village of Al Qasr, which dates back to the 12th century AD.

In the afternoon, you can relax by the hot spring pool and visit the verdant farms of Dakhla, filled with golden sand dunes and a clear blue sky above. You will spend the night in Dakhla at the Desert Lodge.

You'll enjoy breakfast before starting your trip at El Dakhla Oasis, which is considered one of the oases in the Sahara desert.

You'll visit Qasr El Labkha, which was a Roman fortress on the old caravan route, and the Kharga Museum. You'll also see the Roman Temples of Hibis and Nadura from outside, as well as Bagawat, the oldest Christian cemetery in the world.

Next, you'll head to Baris Oasis, which is the smallest and the most beautiful of the Western Desert Oases. You'll visit the Temple of Dush, which is standing in the middle of an entire flourishing settlement, as well as the fortress and the Temple that was devoted to Isis and Serapis.

Finally, you'll spend the night camping in the middle of the golden sand dunes in Kharga. This will be a unique opportunity to enjoy the desert at night and see the peacefulness and beauty of the surroundings.

You'll enjoy a traditional breakfast in the morning that is freshly made by the Bedouins. Afterward, you'll meet your tour guide and private driver to head back to Cairo.

Upon arrival, you'll spend the night at your hotel in Cairo, where you can relax and remember the amazing experiences that you've had during your tour of the oases in the Western Desert.

On the eighth and final day of your 8-day Cairo and Oasis Budget Trip, you'll enjoy your last breakfast at your hotel in Cairo. Afterward, your tour leader will meet you to transfer you to Cairo International Airport. They will also assist you with your check-out and transfer you to your international Airport to catch your flight back to your home. That is the end of your wonderful trip to Cairo and the Western Desert Oases.

When you arrive at Cairo International Airport, you'll be greeted by our tour leader, who will be holding a sign with your name on it. They will then escort you to a private vehicle that will take you to your hotel in Giza or Cairo. Upon arrival at the hotel, the Cairo Top Tours team will assist you with a fast check-in process.

After settling in, you can relax and enjoy a welcome drink at the hotel. This will give you a chance to unwind and get ready for the rest of your 8-day Cairo and Oasis Budget Tour.

After enjoying a delicious breakfast at your hotel, your tour guide will accompany you to start your 8-day Cairo and Oasis Budget Trip by visiting the Necropolis of Giza. This historic site includes three pyramids, built around 25 centuries BC and each bearing the name of the king who built them. You'll have the opportunity to explore the ancient tomb of Egypt and take memorable photos with the Great Sphinx, which is believed that it was built by King Khufu.

For lunch, you'll be taken to a high-quality restaurant in Cairo to enjoy a delicious meal. Afterward, you'll continue your tour by visiting Islamic Cairo and Coptic Cairo, where you'll explore the old Roman fortress of Babylon, which was built by Emperor Trajan. You'll then head to the Egyptian Museum, where your guide will provide you with important information about all the masterpieces.

Later in this day, you'll return to your hotel in Cairo to relax and spend the night.

On the third day of your 8-day Cairo and Oasis Budget Tour, you'll begin your day with a delicious breakfast at the hotel before checking out. Your tour guide will meet you in front of the hotel in a private vehicle and transfer you to Bahariya Oasis.

Upon arrival, you'll visit the valley of the golden mummies, which were discovered by chance when a donkey carriage was stuck in a hole, leading to the discovery of thousands of mummies in gold. You'll also explore the Tombs of the Nobles, where the rulers of the oasis were buried during the Pharaonic period. Additionally, you'll visit the temple of the Great Alexander, which was discovered by Egyptian archaeologists.

Enjoy a delicious lunch at the oasis before being transferred to your hotel for check-in. You'll have the opportunity to soak in the hot spring of the hotel and enjoy the minerals of the groundwater.

Before sunset, you'll be taken to climb the Black Mountain to see the ruins of the English house on top of the mountain and get a panoramic view of the entire oasis. You'll then spend the night at Bahariya Oasis.
